3 Healthy Swaps for Halloween

With Halloween (and the holidays) right around the corner, it's a great time to stock up on some healthier alternatives to your favorite sweet treats and drinks. Today I've got a few healthy swaps to have you sailing into November feeling balanced and not deprived. This time of year is for embracing traditions, time with family, and good food - Enjoy!

SWAP #1:



With Halloween next week, you might be wondering if you'll dive head first into that bucket of kids' candy. Well instead of avoiding sweets altogether, here are some healthy candy and chocolate alternatives to give you some sweet without the blood sugar spike and crash. You'll find chocolate peanut butter cups and your favorite childhood candy alternatives (like a sour peach ring!).

SWAP #2:


Ditch the sugary latte for a protein-filled pumpkin spice smoothie that will squash hunger hormones and satisfy your craving for a fall-themed drink.

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder

  • 1/4 cup of coconut cream (canned)

  • 1/4 cup of pure pumpkin puree

  • 1 1/2 cups of non-dairy milk

  • 1-2 tablespoons ground flax meal

  • pumpkin spice (to taste)

  • handful of ice

Blend up & enjoy!
